Eating Balut: A Small Delight After a Pac Fight

My dad says, "A ceremonial treat to have after a good win. The Balut is my favorite snack, it's not weird."

At long last, a story on Balut. On special occasions, my family will enjoy eating a Balut. On this day, we had family and friends over for the Pacquiao vs. Clottey fight. And what a perfect time to celebrate with a snack of Balut. After a long 12 round win, my dad heads over to the hot pot of freshly boiled Balut. Balut comes from the word, Balot which means "wrapped" in Tagalog.

Yummm…Dragon Fruit!

You can find these yummy, soft dragon fruits in tropical areas and mostly in Asia. It's part of the cactus family and it's called dragon fruit because of its rich colors and spikes. I usually like cutting them up in squares and soaking them in a bowl of sugar water. Dragon fruit is like kiwi without the sour tang. If you eat it by itself, it's a bit like tasteless fruit, but I love them because of their simplicity and beautiful colors.

An eventful evening in Baguio

Sans Rival Pastry at SM Mall We began to put all of our belongings together so that we could be on our way when we realized that we couldn't find our point and shoot camera. After scouring the entire room through all of its nooks and crannies and sifting through our personal belongings, we finally came to the conclusion that Stacey had most likely left it on the counter of an optical eyewear shop at the SM mall earlier that day when I was trying out some frames.
