Masskara Festival 2009

Masskara Festival is held annually on the weekend of October 19th in Bacolod City, Negros Island, Philippines.
In Spanish, "Mass" means "Multitude of the People," and "Kara" means "Face." The main feature of the celebration is a mask worn by dancers and adorned with smiling faces. MassKara thus means "A Multitude of Smiling Faces."
